December is here

The land of ZOMBIE
Over the weekend, I've watched Zombieland and played L4D 2.

The plate above sure looks very tempting but actually not nice one. The salmon sashimi not fresh at all you know, a total waste of my $20.99 that is not inclusive of GST. Ladies and Gentlemen, what you've seen as above is part of my dinner that friday.

We brought Isaac and his sister to dinner on Saturday. He had this innocent look on his face when he was eating and his eating speed is super slow. The reason for this is because he has no teeth in the middle and had to use the side teeth to bite the food, how adorable.

This entry, the time machine takes you back to 6th June 2008, on this day, Vivienne, Andrea and APB went to Zhao's condo to view the location to shoot our Sunkist TVC. After which, Andrea drove us to Vivocity in her Vitara.

Over at Vivocity, we had one of our first Birth The Grad Show 2009 DCMD main committee meeting. Everyone went home after the meeting, leaving APB, Jon, Andrea and Vivienne to have their dinner at Kim Gary.

带我远走高飞

In a blink of an eye, the weekend just zoomed passed us like that. Everyone is carrying out the routines of their lives, striving to achieve and excel in whichever field they are in. For me, like always, I am holding on to it, just like in a weight-lifting competition, its about the survival of the fittest.

Weekends have been as beautiful as it can be, with friends and family all by our sides. Sometimes, it become overwhelming, so overwhelming that your inboxes and call logs are so full that you could have easily miss out a single or two unknowingly. Come to think of it, everything is demolished as soon as Sunday night or even evening and comes Monday, we are back to square one yet again, awaiting for the overwhelmingness that is going to happen on Friday. And this cycle goes on and on...

Call it a blessing in disguise if you might, due to insomnia, I had the privilege to sort of imagine about how life for me is like when I start schooling a few years later in another side of the world. It seems nerve-wrecking yet exciting, I don't know, I really don't know, I am confused. After a while, I came to a conclusion "Well, I will definitely be a happier person."

A ticket back to memory lane, this is where I was 2 years ago, 30th November 2007 at the Auditorium in school giving my classmate Siu Ping the best support as she competed for the finals in the Ms Singapore Polytechnic 2007/2008. I miss my friends...

Korean Invasion

The Japan flu has fade away and overtaken

The ultimate Korean ambassador of DCMD Miss Vienne made her debut speech at the 5th Korean Festival at the RELC Hotel's ballroom this year. We are so proud of this lass and hope that she will do well in her studies when she goes to the Seoul University in a few years time!

With the rising popularity of Korean superstars like BOA, Rain, Super Junior and Wonder Girls, it seems that the Korean flu is here to stay.

My cousin Linda invited me to Movida the other day during her company function. She performed Salsa that night! I have always wanted to go to Movida because the music and the crowd there is awesome.

Linda is one cousin whom I am very close to, besides Sam and Candy. They all treat me like their own brother and is never missing whenever I am in deep shit. We also love to gossip and laugh about this relative that we all hate! I am very blessed to have them in my life!

Open your heart

I've decided to pen this down in the midst of my office hours. As you may have know, time to me has been very precious as I struggled with it ever since I started my work. As I recalled my carefree and routine-less life just a couple of months back, when I was still your flamboyant lead-actor friend from DCMD. "See, that's the problem right there", my mentor understood it all. I was too well-protected in the comfort zone of the DCMD family for the past 3 years.

I understand about the working world, about the potential office politics and how stress and unmanageable everything could get. You see, now that I am totally alone out there, it is only vital to be independent and courageously strong. Perhaps time will change, whether it will take half a year, or even a year and a half.

Because of the limit of time, I see no reason why I should spend my efforts on people who don't deserve it. Through these years, I've seen how the whole human relationship thing works and I simply cannot agree anymore with people who create unhappiness on others (usually the innocence) in return for their happiness/advantage. Call me thick-skin if you want but I must say I am a man of integrity and such actions is wrong and sometimes, inhumane.

So... what is life to you now? To me, it is just about passing off each day (for the next 2 years) and spare that thought about freedom and 100% enjoyment.

The Blue Mansion

I vividly wondered if you had caught the latest local blockbuster- The Blue Mansion by any chance. For those of you who had, I wondered if you had enjoyed the movie as much as I do, since by the way, it is not so "mainstream" after all.

Coincidentally, there are many things about the movie that are so so similar to the plot we wrote for our 10/10 theatre competition way back last year. That is the only reason why we kept laughing while watching the movie. Whether or not it is coincidental, I enjoyed the movie and I applaud for the producers of this movie who managed to find such strong casts, most of which are veterans in the theatre scene.

You can read about the post I wrote way back in January here.

没什麼,

咖啡它陪旁着我。

Life's a routine

For most boys and even girls of my level

During weekdays, you wake up early in the morning and work your ass off the whole day, have your dinner after you knock off and get ready for bed. It is the same thing that goes over and over again, rain or shine!

And then lo and behold comes weekend, the only thing you look forward to throughout the week. With appointments and gatherings in the line, you dress up at your best and leave home with so much anticipation even though you are feeling real tired and lack of sleep, every minute and seconds counts!

So after enjoying to your fullest during the weekend, you try to calm yourself down on Sunday night, rearrange your mood and get ready for another long week at work the next day.

The cycle goes on and on,
almost for the rest of your life,
even after you get married.

Therefore, school is the BEST,
but nevertheless, the whole cycle thing,
I don't want it to happen on me,
I am trying to think of a way,
to modify it a little at least,
life is about having fun and enjoying!

Overwhelming traffic

Shell is guilty of causing heavy traffic everywhere in Singapore today, this is due to the overwhelming response for the $1 per litre promotion for their new FuelSave 95/98.

There are basically 3 Shell stations around my house and you see super freaking long queue all the way from each station to their far far away. After passing by 2 Shell stations, I decided to give up because the queues are unbelievably long and it's totally insane to join into the queue.

Upon coming to the last one,
I decided to join into the queue somehow.
This is after 12 minutes in the queue.

Wow, I am so close!
After 25 minutes in the queue.

Finally, after 30 minutes!

Dreams made my day

Many times during work, I get the opportunity to sit down and think, think about everything I can possibly think of. Sometimes, they make me happy but sometimes, I feel totally lost.

The property market in Singapore is getting more and more promising (yet unaffordable). A few names in the market that I am particularly hooked on will be Elliot @ East Coast, Hundred Trees @ West Coast and Bliss Loft @ Kim Keat (above).

I always imagine myself living in one of these studio apartments alone, and sitting alone by the window looking at the scenery outside. I love love love the windows. It must be big and hopefully full length! Aww, sounds very tempted to shoot MTV huh?

Another dream that made me excited about is going overseas alone. As it is my first time traveling alone, I shall pick somewhere I am comfortable with- Bangkok. I want to go to the temples and to the massage and to the Chatuchak. Aww, exciting!

Of the two dreams, the latter seems more reachable. Am I gained for it? Am I going to take action to fulfill the dream? I don't know actually, it's kind of scary!
